Why does our 11 month old dog(was told he is part Bermse Mtn/Golden Ret) chew and tear up anything new in yard?

chew and tear up any thing that is chewable. Has torn up UPS boxes left for me, wooden rabbit traps, got into the trash dumpster etc new or different will be torn up
