What effect will carbonates, sulfides, hydroxides, etc. have on C6H8O6 (Vitamin C)?

I'm doing an experiment, and i want to know if there will be any significant reaction between L-Ascorbic Acid (vitamin c, c6h8o6) and carbonates, sulphides, hydroxides, phosphates, etc.
